Responding to this need, 1996 witnessed the birth of the first genuine photovoltaic connector, a plug-in type. Made from Thermoplastic Elastomer, it relied on friction for physical connection. Crucially, its connection system incorporated MULTILAM technology, ensuring enduring connection stability.Fast forward to 2002, solar connectors underwent another transformation, truly embodying the ‘plug and play’ ethos. These revamped connectors utilized rigid plastics like PC/PA for insulation and were designed for easier on-site assembly and installation. This evolutionary trajectory of solar connectors has now made them apt for catering to the demands of 1500V photovoltaic systems.”
